Hey guys.
My job(a marketing company) recently picked up a campaign for The Humane Society called pet personals. They have teamed with Maddie's Fund and the Ad Council to run a campaign to improve the image of the shelter animal.
Every year about 17 million people are looking for a new pet, and every year of the 8 million dogs and cats available from shelters more than a 1/3 are euthanized. This number should not be so inflated, which is why we have embarked on this campaign.
I personally have 2 pets one of which is a shelter rescue and she is probably the most loving cat I have ever had in all honesty. What are you guy's experience with shelter pets? Right now they have a bad rap which is what we're trying to change.

Yeah i agree with you....animals like cats should be adopted and be loved ....i have 2 cats and dogs ....i love animals...

| By Humane Society do you mean Humane Society of NY? I have been involved with dog and cat rescue for about 5 years now. I don't think rescue pets have a bad rep-there are a lot of problems with how the system works though. A good book to read is Nathan Winograd's Redemption. |
