As of June 2010, restaurant has reformulated menu and not one slice (even cheeseless) is vegan as butter is now used is the crust. There are a few vegetable dishes that you can ask to be made vegan.

- The neighborhood is mislabeled as Sheepshead Bay. I think most people would call this Midwood or perhaps Flatbush. Sheepshead Bay is further south.

- No longer Viva Natural Pizzeria. Now Benny's. Spelt on menu was kamut the day I was there. Serves fish, egg, and dairy, but everything else seems vegetarian or vegan. Didn't ask if the mock meats were vegan or ovo-lacto-vegetarian, so you may want to check.
Had perfectly adequate whole wheat cheeseless pizza, which was being sold by the slice. Not used to that where I come from, so that was cool.
Also had the portabella mushroom and artichoke heart appetizer, which was very good. Gotta love balsamic vinegar.
Street parking. Busy little market street, so we parked at a meter 'round Elm Ave. Good luck with all the one way streets.
