  • Just wanted to add that they've really expanded their menu recently. The tempeh BLT is amazing and their cakes/cupcakes rival any of the best in NYC. It's not ridiculously cheap but it's worth it, especially if you're in Union Square. This is a place that a lot of people could pass by since it's on the second floor of a building and in a yoga studio, but it has great vegan food and really shouldn't be missed!

  • had the grilled portobello mushroom($9) with the wisdom smoothie(7) sitting under the hiphop goddess(kali ma with a boom box!)- terrific stuff!

  • I've eaten here a few times and each time it's sooo good. The grilled vegetable panino and the grilled portabella panino were fabulous and they give you a nice little side salad to go with it. The only smoothie I've gotten so far was the "Voice" and it seemed weird at first but then it grew on me. I also had a bagel and tofu cream cheese there which was awesome! The service might be slow but it's never too too bad, and they are always very friendly. Overall, highly recommended!

  • I've eaten here a few times after yoga. The avocado sandwich is awesome! I have to say, though - the services is super slow!

  • Jivamukti cafe is magically delicious! It's a tea and coffee/espresso cafe but they also have sandwiches, soups, salads, smoothies, baked goods, and that ubiquitous 'choose three items and a dressing' plate. They even have a vegan Mad Hatter tea party with a pot of tea and lots of vegan treats. You can't go wrong with the portabello panino, sprout bowl w/mustard vinaigrette, or giant chocolate chip cookie. Bonus: everything is vegan, organic, non-gmo, and sustainable.

  • The Jivamuktea cafe recently reopened under new ownership.
The food is delicious - organic, vegan, and prepared with love.
Try the supergreen salad, mango smoothie, maharini dahl, and everything else. Yummy baked goods.
Great lunch place for those working in the Union Square area - it's hidden on the second floor of 841 Broadway, across the street from the Regal Multiplex.

  • I have eaten at this "cafe" twice and both times I got horrendeously ill. I love the yoga at this center but I would never again eat afterwards if they dont shape up! Watch out for the juice, it was supposed to be "live" but it was just plain rotten, and I had salad that gave me a stomach pain that I doubled over from. The service, cherry on top: absent, or just too zoned out to give a damn. really sad because the space itself is sun-filled and really pretty...
