franny's is not very vegan-friendly. the first time i went there the server was really nice and made us a cheeseless pizza (with really delicious wood-smoked onions onions on it that were unlike anything i had ever tasted before--sooo good) and a pasta dish with roasted cauliflower and olive oil and pine nuts instead of the butter and cheese it was supposed to have. it was a really nice meal (though some salad would have been nice, i dont think they had any) so i was really disappointed when i went back and could order nothing on the new menu. the owner(manager?) came over and was confused as to why i wouldn't eat cheese or meat and encouraged me to have anchovies because they are "vegetarian". i split a tiny pizza (just sauce and olives, no more tasty onions) with my friend and we left hungry. the service degraded further when we decided not to order any wine. the first experience was great, the second, awful. i hope they go back to their old ways.
