  • It is ok. I think they might have given me non vegan sour cream after I specified vegan, but I'm not 100%. Ok, but no real exciting options. I would bike further or take the train a couple of stops to Papacitos instead. If you are in the area and really want a burrito - i guess, but there are a couple of other and possibly cheaper vegan options in that area.

  • Taco Chulo is now offering vegan migas for weekend brunch. It's not on the menu, so you have to ask. They're currently my favorite vegan brunch option in all of Williamsburg. The vegan migas are ridiculously good, and put me in a food coma every single time. Perfect.

  • Taco Chulo is a fun, spacious restaurant with great guac, amazing hibiscus margaritas and delicious burritos. Service is spotty depending on how crowded it gets, but I love this place.

  • this is my favorite restaurant at the moment. i don't know why they don't seem to get more lodge overflow. i've never eaten at lodge, but taco chulo is so good i've never had a reason to.

not only is everything super tasty and fresh and awesome, but the staff has always understood what vegan means and helped with ordering accordingly. the brunch burrito i get when i'm there for, well, brunch, is my favorite food these days.

  • I went to Taco Chulo for the first time yesterday for the Angelica Kitchen staff holiday party. (Yes, our holiday party was on Jan. 8th--don't ask.) I had such a great time! The food I ate is different from those things offered on the menu, but it was all pretty tasty, so I can only assume the items on their regular menu are just as good. The space is pretty big and colorful and conducive to good times (the big bar doesn't dampen the mood either). I'll definitely go there again soon.
