I am one of the co-organizers of the NYC Vegetarian Meet-Up group, which has many vegan members. Since I loved this restaurant when I was a vegetarian, I decided to come back as a vegan with the group, and I still had a half-dozen or more vegan appetizer and salad choices. There were about half a dozen vegan pastas as well, and the restaurant was willing to substitute ingredients to make pastas vegan. I had requested that just plain bread be served at our table cause I was really worried we'd get the pepperoni bread, and they complied. For dessert, there are usually 2 or 3 flavors of sorbet. I would not hesitate to recommend Angels, except perhaps on New Years Eve when they closed earlier than we (not the veggie group) had anticipated.
