- My wife and I went to a Meetup Group dinner where there were around 10 people at our table. The waiters mixed-up my wife's order and offered it to the person who ordered it, after it was obviously partially eaten. The food was greasy and unflavorful.

- I love Madras Mahal. I've been there several times, and the food is consistently good, but the best thing about it is that there are a lot of vegan dishes and they clearly mark in the menu the items that are not vegan (they use dairy in some dishes, but no meat). Everything I've tried there (Dosai, Baigan Bharta, Mulagatawney Soup, Parathas) has been great—really well spiced and not too greasy or salty, as Madras Café can sometimes be. Another bonus is that this place is fairly inexpensive.

- My favorite vegetarian Indian place in Murray Hill. THe best paper masala dosa, good fresh mango juice, dal, etc. Items aren't too greasy and are made fresh to order.
