Essentially everything but the feta cheese and the mayonnaise is vegan.
Maoz is sort of like what you'd imagine a vegetarian Roy Rogers would be like in Israel. After you get your sandwich, there's a large selection of self-serve toppings - pickles, cucumber salad, roasted cauliflower, dairy and vegan coleslaws, carrots, baby eggplants dyed in beet juice (really), olives, several fresh hot sauces, and much more. The trick is they don't leave very much spare room in your sandwich, so you can't really load up on the condiments. As an alternative, you can also build your own salad-- they give you a bowl with lettuce and falafel balls and you add the rest of the fixins.
Opinions vary as to whether the name "Maoz" is pronounced like the condiment or the Chairman.

- Ok, I used to eat at these places a lot in Barcelona, so when I heard there was one here I went there immediately. I was reminiscing about the all you can eat topping bar, frites, fun employees, they were great!!!
Too bad it was terrible here. Really, I don't know what I was thinking with Mamoun's just a few blocks away, but I went anyway. They hardly have any toppings, you can't hit it more than once, and it just didn't taste the same. I don't know if it was the atmosphere, the lack of trans-fats (I'm assuming), or the price (higher here), but I was totally disappointed.
With so many other falafel options, skip this joint.
