  • Midtown, Midtown, Midtown! Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!

Are you a Midtown Vegan (M.V.)? Are you sick of the grease and lack of variety at Sukhadia's? Tired of walking through the throngs of tourists in Times Square to go to Green Symphony? Sick of the $9 deli salad that may or may not have little bits of cheese in it?

Then it's time to try Bread & Olive! This place has lots of delicious veggie options. Today I tried the '5 vegetarian appetizer combo plate'. I got the green bean dish (weird taste sauce, kinda like maple syrup), garlic potato in olive oil (how could it be anything but great?), cauliflower something or other (sensational), the "giant peruvian lima beans" (too hard, little sauce, not very good), and falafel (3 amazing balls!).

Included is a large piece of bread, hot sauce, and tahini. For $10 in midtown, considering the seemingly high quality of the food, I think it was a good deal, and I plan on coming back. Next time, I'm gonna try the falafel with hummus, hot sauce, tahini, and salad. MmmmmMMmMmMmmm.
