Linda's Organic Kitchen & Market does not deliver.
This local health food store has a small vegan food counter with daily specials and fresh juices. They offer the occasional vegan cooking class as well.

- I have been here a few times when I was in the area. The quality of everything I have ever bought has been excellent. The staff is freindly and the owners go out of their way to accomodate. It is expensive (and so are so many other Natural food stores-has anyone been to Health Nuts or Life Thyme in Manhattan?)This is a place that has been around a long time and has seen the trends change-hence it used to be Linda's Natural Kitchen now it's Linda's Organic Kitchen-needless to say Linda knows her stuff so you can well depend on her to always offer top notch product because to her it's more than just a business.

- I suggested Linda's get listed since they do serve vegan food. But I agree with the previous reviewer that they are expensive thought I have never seen anything moldy or out-of-date but I am sure it is possible.
As far as friendliness Linda and Gary have always been very pleasant to me as well as the rest of the staff.
I do miss the soft serve and I rarely buy food there but anything I ever bought has been decent but not dancing with flavor. I live closer to Natural and Trader Joe's and do most of my shopping there but it is nice to know Linda's is there for some stuff I can't get elsewhere or if I need a snack.

- As a health food store, it's expensive but useful for those who live in the neighborhood--less so now that the nearby Associated carries Soy Garden for much cheaper, & now that Trader Joe's is nearby. Nowadays Linda's no longer take coupons, as they have one of those silly customer rewards programs, but when they did, I remember Linda herself scowling & saying, "I hate these!" when I gave her a coupon for a free Tofutti product. Also, when they used to carry Nutrilicious donuts they were always moldy. And within the last month or so I tried to buy some tempeh bacon there & the expiration date was several months ago! Still, I appreciate it for what it is: a little neighborhood health food store of the kind I like to support... with reservations. I wish they had vegan soft serve again like they did a few years ago. The deli products I've had have been okay.
