- I've been here twice and both times ordered the same thing. The King Oyster mushrooms appetizer is delish! I was surprised to find that it was fried, as the menu didn't say so. I don't usually eat fried foods,(with the exception of french fries once in awhile. But when it came, it wasn't greasy, so I tried it and then promptly devoured the whole plate. This is now on my fried food "exceptions" list!
The Broccoli Soy Protein I ordered because for some reason I've been craving broccoli, even though I make it at home. The first time I ordered it with white sauce rather than the "house sauce" it comes with. The second time I tried it with the house sauce. Both times the broccoli and sauce were good -- the soy protein not so much. It's that regulation flat and round stuff with little taste. The menu has this same dish in another form, "Broccoli soy seitan" That was confusing and I wasn't in the mood to ask what "soy seitan" is supposed to be. The meal comes with a choice of soup or salad. I got the wonton soup both times. It's small but yummy.
There are other dishes on the menu that look tempting. I'd definitely try some others. The service was good, the food fresh and you can sit by the window and look out on Montague Street.

- I live and work nearby and frequent Vegetarian Ginger. Their menu is nearly identical to that of Wild Ginger in Manhattan and Williamsburg, though when I have asked they claim to not have any affiliation. Confusing. The food is good, the service is good, and despite what it says above under 'delivery notes', they do deliver and the delivery is exceptionally fast. I like the avocado salad, hot and sour soup and most of their entrees have been good. I have twice ordered their cake, both varities, and both time it has been served to me COMPLETELY frozen. I will no longer order the cake, but continue to visit and am pleased most of the time.

- I stopped in for lunch two weeks after they opened. They have weekday and Saturday lunch specials from 11:30am to 4:00pm for $5.95. Their menu is similar to The Greens in both price and selection. They also have a small selection of deserts and a few Indian style starters.
