- I'm living at NYU for the summer and am trying to check out all the local vegan eats. I walked past this humble little spot on W3rd once on a full stomach, was pretty excited too!, but yeah--full stomach.
Finally decided to check it out today and I'm really glad I did. Friendly service and an AWESOME variety of hot and cold macrobiotic foods. Ever since I touched down here in the city, I've been craving some VEGETABLES (especially leafy green ones) and this place delivers in spades. Homemade barley tea sealed the deal for me. As far as buffet-style healthy grub goes, I'd take this over say Whole Foods' more expensive, less vegan, less diverse offerings any day.
My new lunch spot. Yay!

- I seem to be more weary of open food bars than fried and processed junk food-so when I tried this place I was pleasantly surprised. Very Good. Real Customer Service. Healthy. Tasty. Cheap.

- Stumbled into this place by accident...walked past it few times, but always looked empty. Once I peaked in and saw wholistic and healthy vegetarian food, along with welcoming hosts. Food is delicious, healthy, and there are no attitudes here. Love the simplicity of it.

- I'm not sure how I've been veg in New York for 11 years and never eaten here before this week! Imagine one of those ubiquitous steam-table delis, but with really good-quality veggie fare. It's reasonably priced by the pound, and all manner of steamed, fried, pickled, stewed, and fresh delights are on offer. I suspect I'll be back often.
When I was there, there was only one non-vegan item (out of dozens of choices) and it was clearly labeled as including eggs. The man behind the counter was also very helpful when I asked about what was vegan.
