  • I have to tell you something. As a guy who eats pretty much anything on a plate I had no reservations to trying out something from the "Snail".

First off the design of the truck is an inviting as the staff inside of it. They offer fresh, fantastic, organically grown food in the most intriguing combinations. I've been to the Red Bank Farmers Market on a number of occasions and always stop off for something.

It doesn't matter to me if they serve vegan food. As long as the food is good, I'll eat it. AND THIS FOOD IS GREAT!!!

  • I love the Cinnamon Snail and I make every effort to eat there as often as possible. I live in Central Jersey so I often have breakfast at the truck on Sundays at the Red Bank Farmer's Market. I have also been to Hoboken and NYC to get my fix!

I am vegetarian but I often eat at the truck with friends and family who aren't vegetarian and they LOVE IT!!! My nephew is 2 years old and a donut from the Cinnamon Snail always makes him smile. I love their savory pastries as well. My favorite is their new lentil puff pastry which is stuffed with lentils and potaotes. Every bite is delicious. I also love their sweet treats. The donuts are my favorite but I also recently discovered the Mint Matlock cookie....oh boy.....it's like a blast from my past. I used to be a Girl Scout and to me these taste like a vegan version of the Thin Mint cookies. I usually order whatever the special of the day is for an entree and they always hit the spot.

All the food at the Cinnamon Snail is vegan and made with love by Adam and his wonderful staff. I highly reccommend it to anyone and suggest that you follow the Cinnamon Snail on Facebook adn Twitter to find out where they will be next ;)

  • Hands down the best vegan food I've ever had!! and it's from a food truck! Thank u Cinnamon snail for making this vegan transition so easy with your amazing food! First, I had the pleasure of meeting these guys in front of the veggie food festival, had the basil pesto tofu sammich! I instantly was psychotically in love at first bite! The freshness and the genious of the mixed flavors! Beyond! I've been going ever since, luckily hoboken is not to far from my job :) Their pastries are one foodgasm after the other, I highly recommend it! Esp. the smores donut thats my fave so far! I've also had the creole tofu sandwich, very spicy but thats all good with me, delish! I had their mushroom porcini burger also amazing, however it's a dish thats not always on the menu so call to check first. Lastly, I recently had their sage tempeh sliders, so full of flavor and goodness, the tapenade adds a perfect touch since im an olive lover! sometimes I just wasnt a whole cup of their tapenade lol! Can't wait to try their breakfast im sure it's perfection jst like everything from here has been! Including the warm welcome and friendliness u recieve instantly! LOVE U CINNAMON SNAIL!

  • Finally got to try the Cinnamon Snail after hearing so many great things about it & I am utterly blown away. I had the weekly special which was a porcini mushroom seitan burger, & finished it off with a marshmellow peanut butter pinwheel. The burger was a truly exquisite balance of texture & flavor...I wish it never ended....And as for the pinwheel: nothing short of bliss. I did not know vegan food could taste so incredible. Leave your expectations out of this one...Seriously, The Cinnamon Snail will not disappoint. I can't wait to go back! Thanks, Adam!!

  • I haven't been to the Snail in Hoboken, but had the awesome privilege of being fed by Adam many times last summer at the Farmer's Market in Red Bank. I was Papa Ganache, a vegan bakery, and selling my delicious treats at the market, and had the luxurious task of scarfing the Snail delectables for lunch on the weekly. As a "rival" vegan baker, I got sick of my own goodies, but still occasionally had to sample his desserts. But the real allure here was the fooood. And the attitoood. Adam gets so much love from his fans because he gives it out aplenty, and is so damn real about it. He taught me, when I complained about being up so early and working so hard, that we are blessed to do what we do, to feed people with compassion, to do what we love. He is a true original, and the meals reflect that. I can't remember what was on the menu last summer, and some things were better than others, but what Cinnamon Snail does is what we hope all vegan establishments do--make the "product' palatable to all comers, without reducing it to SAD fare. Non-traditional gourmet offerings in a recycled container to be "et" sloppily curbside, with no trail of suffering or disease leading to or from the plate? That my friends, deserves a 6.

  • Well here is a review for ya that is not a fake. I went to the Veggie Food Festival and could not get in but made a B-line for the Cinnamin Snail because I knew that the truck would be at this event and I have been waiting for months to try the food. I had the miso teriyaki sandwich with wasabi mayonaise. I am still dreaming about this sandwich. I did not finish the whole thing but instead carefully packaged my leftovers so that I could have them for dinner that evening. I separated the filling, put the bread in the oven to get it crispy again. And I was in heaven again. So good! Forever a fan. So much so that I am now willing to make the pilrimage to Hoboken!!! When you love what you are doing, and recognize that it is also a gift to be doing what you love - it shows. Make the trip and give it a try, you will not be sorry. I promise:)

  • I don't know how this site determines what a fake review is...but I happen to know the owner of this establishment personally and know that they would never condone anyone posting a fake review about the truck. Maybe they should focus on deleting reviews that are not actually reviews because the people posting them have never eaten the food! As for the one person on here who thinks it is impossible for 17 people in row to give the Cinnamon Snail a perfect review, how long have you had a computer? When a business with as many fans as the Cinnamon Snail asks their followers for reviews, they get them! By the way, you don't know what you are missing! The Cinnamon Snail's food is out-of-this-world amazing and the family who owns it couldn't be better people. Their service is, in fact, perfect and every single time I have come into contact with anyone on the truck they have made me feel like part of their extended family. This is why people love them! I dare you to try and find better vegan food anywhere else on the planet!

  • Posting 1-star reviews that don't reflect your real opinion on the venue is so spiteful and childish. Were they posted by vindictive owners of some less popular food truck? The reality is that The Cinnamon Snail is a rare gem and Adam the owner deserves every compliment on this page. Everyone who actually bothered to try it, knows full well that the food is delicious, the pastries are to die for, and the atmosphere is great. The only downside is that the truck only visits Hoboken 2-3 times a week and sometimes even less often, depending on the weather, but then again good things do tend to come in smaller doses.

  • I discovered this lunch truck last week in Hoboken and it is an oasis, which only has one other venue for vegan/organic food. Their food was superb, even compared to the New York restaurants I eat at, and I love what the company stands for (spiritual evolution, loving care for animals). I've told many folks about it in the past week because I haven't experienced anything like it on the East Coast! The owner is a sweetheart and I believe it what he's doing. Check it out and you'll be hooked too. And that's the truth!

  • SuperVegan does not have a policy of deleting positive reviews. However, we have had problems with restaurants or their fans creating fake accounts to post multiple positive reviews. This what happened with Cinnamon Snail--we don't know who created the fake accounts, but there were four fake reviews posted in a row.

When this happens, we do our own investigation and delete reviews that we determine are fakes. Clearly we caught some real reviews along with the fake ones this time. We will be taking steps to remedy that. We have also already instituted additional protections to make sure we don't inadvertently delete real reviews along with the fake ones next time.

  • This is a message for the good folks @ SuperVegan: If you see a vendor receiving rave reviews do you always assume that it is impossible and remove the reviews? I think it would be worth your time to do some first hand investigation (especially if they are rave reviews)..eat some food from the offending vendor and then determine if the reviews are fake. It could be that there are people out there who just love Adam so much that they would eat whatever he served and proclaim it as the best food ever..either way...before you reduce your site to a censored, no first-hand research, advertising blog...do us all a favor and get out and try some Cinnamon Snail love. You can then write your own review...I promise not to delete it if I don't agree with it. Love ~

  • I am SO happy this truck braves the politics and sells to my neighborhood in downtown Hoboken. The food is fantastic, and I'm a huge cinnamon roll fanatic and their flagship "Cinnamon Snail" pastry is one of the most satisfying gooey-cinnamon-dough-like experiences I've ever had.

I also highly recommend the portobello carpaccio, which is sublime, and the breakfast burrito, although a little messy, totally hit the spot.

And if this site is deleting reviews for being too good, shame on them. I didn't post one earlier, but will now in support of this most excellent eatery.

  • I'm lucky such that I live near the driveway that 'The Snail calls home when it's off-duty. Sometimes I want to bang on the side of the truck and demand "Cinnamon Twists! I know you've got 'em! stop holding out on me!" when I walk by on one of Chef Adam's days off.

Despite the fact that this is being served from a truck (and hey, food trucks have come a very long way!) this is creative, fresh and elevated cuisine. I don't even have to qualify that it's virtuous and healthy...its goodness stands on its taste own.

Favorites on the menu of mine include the previously mentioned Cinnamon twists and some of the fleeting specialty sweets (tiramisu! chocolate-peanut butter cheese cake doughnuts) as well as the full compliment of sandwiches. Adam elevates his cooking above what I might have brown-bagged with use of rubs, sauces and innovative flavor combos. Additionally the sandwiches are huge...you are good until dinner time with one of these for sure!

  • It's hard to think of The Snail as a "food truck" because:
1)it's so sparkling clean and gorgeous
2)the food (menu & specials) that is presented from the window of goodness is always on par and often beyond the taste and quality of many restaurants
3)everything is made to order with the finest ALL VEGAN & organic ingredients
4)have you seen the dessert case?

I've deducted one star because, although I love the fitting free-spiritedness of the Snail's mobility, sometimes I lament that the incredible dishes aren't being served to me at a table. But, if given the choice, I'd probably take the truck in the open air over a CS restaurant!

  • I discovered these guys at Parked. Extremely delicious (I tried the creole tofu sandwich, the portabella pesto on baguette, and the spicy tempeh wrap), albeit the sloppiest presentation ever. The two sandwiches' guts were sliding out before the first bite, and sauce and stuffing ended up everywhere. Maybe they need to wrap these things in larger sheets of butcher paper??

Anyway--very tasty, totally friendly, reasonably priced, relatively speedy. Also tried a donut but it was only ok. Actually it was good, for a pastry, but it just didn't taste like a donut because the consistency was too cake-like.

Next time I'm in Hoboken I'll definitely get lunch from these guys. But since me being in Hoboken happens never, I hope I see them around the city at some of this summer's outdoor events.

  • I tried the Cinnamon Snail at Parked in Brooklyn, so I don't know how indicative of their usual quality my experience was. The event started at noon and we got there around 5, so the food had probably been sitting there a while.

Between my friend and I, we ordered the spinach pie, two miso teriyaki seitan sandwiches (the special of the week), an apple cider doughnut, a cinnamon snail, a pomegranate hibiscus ginger ale and a jasmine one. I thought the spinach pie was too salty and the sandwiches were decent, but my friend loved them both. She also loved the doughnut, but her husband said it was dry. I found the cinnamon snail dry, too. Both sodas were absolutely amazing, though (I wouldn't normally mention sodas, but I haven't seen that brand around NYC).

If I was sitting in a restaurant, I wouldn't have been overly impressed by the food, but it's pretty freaking amazing for a roach coach. If I lived or worked in Hoboken, I'd definitely go back to try a few things.

Also, the two people working in the truck were super friendly.

  • I love the Cinnamon Snail - the food is always amazing, and Adam is such a great guy. Everything is organic, vegan and so very good. Its amazing to get food of that quality from a truck at really reasonable prices. Adam has been a chef in top notch restaurants like Down to Earth, and those skills really show. You get to have a gourmet picnic overlooking Manhattan at food truck prices. SCORE!

My absolute favorite meal is the Creole Sandwich, which may be the best sandwich I've ever had - delicious spicy sweet tofu, sweet, smokey carmelized onions, creamy garliky aioli on peppery arugula with a perfectly crunchy baguette. Mmm. But don't pass up the salads or the raw pizza either, you'll be surprised at how wonderful they are.

The Cinnamon Snail has great pastries displayed from the simple (donuts, cinnamon snails and handpies) to fancysmancy mini pb cheesecakes, mini ganache bundts, and layer cakes (try the hazelnut mocha). You will definitely want to save room for dessert!

If you have a chance to have breakfast, the tofu burrito and the kale sandwich are a delicious savory start to the day. And if you want sweet - blue corn pancakes with pignoli butter are amazing.

I'm glad the truck is in Hoboken, in easy access to NYC - a wonderful place to hang with a view of Manhattan and eat delicious vegan and organic food. It is a welcome addition to Northern NJ and the NYC metro area, because there aren't enough wonderful places to eat well-priced, inventive, vegan food.
